The focus was on the practical implementation of the DPP \u2013 a topic that will gain increasing importance in the coming years.<\/p>\n<p>Together with representatives from 15 companies across various industries, key questions were discussed: What business models could emerge from the DPP? What roles are required for implementation, and what is the current state of data availability within companies? What might a successful DPP look like within one\u2019s own organization?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Business Value Design Thinking<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>After an introduction to the topic of the DPP and the associated regulatory framework (more on that can be found HERE, for example), an interactive workshop in the \u201cBusiness Value Design Thinking\u201d format followed.<\/p>\n<p>The first part of the workshop focused on business models related to the DPP. Participants shared their specific challenges and developed possible approaches for practical application. The second part focused particularly on questions regarding data requirements and the potential role of the DPP within companies. Finally, considerations for a successful DPP concept for each company were developed.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Open Questions and Insights<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Many companies still face uncertainties, especially regarding the requirements of the DPP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To what extent are which companies affected?<\/li>\n<li>From when do obligations apply to previously unlisted product groups?<\/li>\n<li>What data must be provided and in what level of detail?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Although many of these questions cannot yet be clearly answered, the workshop made it clear that it is wise for companies to begin addressing the topic early on. In particular, a potential future standardized and centrally organized data infrastructure via the DPP could significantly contribute to increasing efficiency in companies and create added value through greater transparency. At the same time, challenges were also addressed \u2013 especially how to handle sensitive data and concerns that companies bearing the implementation costs may not necessarily reap the direct benefits.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Successful Exchange and Continuation of the Format<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The workshop was a great opportunity for professional exchange and networking. The positive feedback showed how important this topic is for many companies \u2013 which is why we aim to continue the format.
